A new Australian escape

The old homestead, given a second life.

Station Royale Casino Hotel is a fictional destination on a historic Australian sheep station—a working pastoral run so vast the boundary fences vanish over the curve of the earth, gathered around a wide-verandahed 1870s homestead of corrugated iron, timber and stone. Deep eucalypt green, terracotta, dry-grass wheat and warm sage run through the whole casino hotel.

Take the verandah with a coffee as the paddocks wake. Ride out to the far dam in the heat of the afternoon. Then come back in off the boards into our adults-only casino salon in the old woolshed, warm and low as the working dogs settle for the night. Everything in this casino hotel keeps the plain, generous character of the station it was built from.

Shed Restaurant

Off the land, over the coals.

Our signature restaurant is set in the old shearing shed and cooks the country around it—station lamb and beef over the coals, damper baked in the camp oven, bush honey, native pepperberry and vegetables from the homestead garden. The wine is Australian, the fire is always going, and the long table runs down the middle of the shed a few steps from the casino hotel lobby.
